North London Ladies Social
This was a glamorous setting in a super chic flat in Maida Vale. A group of ladies wanted to have a great night in, so we decided to make some great cocktails and some great salads & mezze. Way cooler than going out, just an abundance of food in a relaxed environment.
Summer salads - my favourite is the watermelon & feta shards with fresh mint in a olive oil, lemon and pepper dressing. Great with grilled lamb.
Booraniyeh Esfenaj - everyones favorites, sautéed spinach, swirled in yogurt with dill, caramelised onions and garlic with roasted cumin. and of course finished with rose petals
Muttabal Qara - steamed butternut squash dip with tahini, lemon, garlic drizzled with olive oil and a sprinkling of sumac
Lamb pieces with red peppers, these were filled in flatbread served with some dips and herbs for a great midnight snack.
